We are based in Bangalore, which is a city that never really seems to slow down. Being here for the mineral business at Weir Minerals India Pvt Ltd makes sense because so much industry is happening in this part of the country. We don't have a specific landmark to give you besides being in the city itself, but we've been operating out of here for quite some time now. The traffic is every bit as bad as people say it is, so most of us spend a good chunk of our day just getting to and from the office. Inside, it’s a fairly typical workspace. We have a few rows of desks, some old fans that creak when they’re on the high setting, and plenty of files stacked up on the shelves. It’s a practical environment. We don’t go in for all those fancy decorations you see in the new tech parks. We just need a place to sit, talk to people, and keep track of the equipment we deal with. Bangalore has a way of being both frustrating and great at the same time. The weather is usually the best part of being here, even when it rains unexpectedly and we have to scramble to close all the office windows before things get wet. We spend our days mostly on the computer or talking to folks on the phone. It’s a steady pace of work. We know the local tea vendors by name and they know our orders.
