About Savitha Coffee – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
In Byatayanapura, people know where to come when they want their coffee powder. Savitha Coffee isn't a place where you sit down with a laptop. It’s a small shop where the main thing you notice is the sound of the grinding machine. It’s a loud, heavy noise that fills the whole space. We have bags of coffee beans stacked up against the wall, and the smell is very strong—it stays on your clothes all day. Customers come in and tell us exactly how they want their blend mixed, and we do it right there in front of them. The floor is usually covered in a fine dust of coffee, no matter how much we sweep it. We use an old weighing scale that’s been here since we opened. It’s not digital, but it works just fine. We don't have any fancy labels or marketing. We just put the powder in plain plastic bags and tie them up with a rubber band. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years. They live in the houses nearby and wouldn't dream of buying their coffee from a supermarket. We open up early and stay until the evening. Sometimes the machine gets too hot and we have to let it rest for a bit. It’s just the way we work. We focus on the beans and the grind, and let the coffee speak for itself to the people who walk through our door every day.
