Sathya Sai Taxi & Travels

Sathya Sai Taxi & Travels is over in Rajajinagar, specifically at 1010 in the 4th Main of 2nd Stage, D Block. This is a very busy part of town, and our office is right in the thick of it. We have cars coming and going at all hours, so there is always some movement around the entrance. The office is a small room where the phone seems to ring every few minutes with someone asking for a pickup or a trip to the airport. We have a large board where we keep track of the drivers and their schedules, though sometimes we just use a notebook because it's faster. There’s usually a few drivers sitting around on the bench outside, waiting for their next shift and talking about the traffic or the price of petrol. Rajajinagar has these long, straight roads, but they are always packed with vehicles. Our spot is easy to find if you know the D Block area. It isn't a fancy travel lounge with leather sofas. It’s just a functional place with some wooden chairs and a lot of keys hanging on the wall. We start very early in the morning, often before the sun is even up, to get the first batch of travelers on their way. It is a lot of coordination and hoping the Bangalore traffic doesn't ruin the timings. We just keep things moving as best as we can every day.
