Sarathi City Taxi

We started Sarathi City Taxi right here in Madivala. You can find us at 105 near the Madivala Hotel on Pandurang 3rd Main Road. It’s a busy spot, especially with all the traffic coming through this part of town. We’ve been operating out of this small office for quite some time now. Most of the drivers live around here, so they know the shortcuts and how the roads get during the monsoon rains. It isn't a fancy setup. We just have our desks and a place to keep the keys and logs. When someone calls for a cab, we check who is closest. It gets hectic in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to work. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it’s quiet enough to actually sit and have a tea. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. New buildings go up and the roads get wider, but the basics of driving people from one place to another stay the same. We try to keep the cars running okay and make sure the drivers are actually showing up when they say they will. It’s hard work being on the road all day in the heat and the dust. We just do what we can to keep things moving. If you’re ever near the hotel on 3rd Main, you’ll probably see one of our white cars parked out front waiting for the next trip.
