Sanman Bag Centre

Sanman Bag Centre is right near the Renuka Lodge on NDA Road in Gandhi Nagar. Specifically, we are in the Sanman Lodge Building, number 41395. It’s a busy area with a lot of people coming and going from the lodges. We see all kinds of travelers here. Most of them are looking for a sturdy bag because their old one broke on the bus or train. We have everything from small pouches to those heavy-duty suitcases. The building itself is quite old and has that specific smell of old concrete and dust. We’ve got bags stacked in the hallways sometimes when the delivery truck arrives. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We don't have a computer for the accounts; we just write everything down in a big ledger book with a blue pen. My hands are usually stained with ink by the end of the day. The traffic on NDA Road is loud, so we have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the buses. Sometimes we get a breeze coming through the front door, which helps with the heat. We don't have any fancy displays. We just put the bags out so people can touch the material and check the buckles. It’s a practical business for a practical part of town. We just open up and wait for the travelers to stop by. It’s simple but it works for us.
