Maharaja Novelties Bags & Luggage is right in the heart of the G. C. Market in Mamulpet. If you have ever been to Mamulpet, you know how crowded and busy it gets with all the shops and people moving goods back and forth. We are at No. 16. Our shop is filled with suitcases, backpacks, and all sorts of travel gear that people need. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes because luggage takes up so much room on the floor, but we make it work somehow. We have been here in G. C. Market for a long time, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years. It’s a loud place, full of energy and shouting, and we are just one small part of it. We don't go in for fancy displays or expensive lighting like you see in malls. It is a practical shop for people who need a sturdy bag for a trip or for school. We spend our days stacking items and helping people find the right size for their needs. It is not always perfect, and sometimes the aisles are a bit narrow to walk through, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We don't have a big marketing strategy or a website. We just open up in the morning and wait for the shoppers to come through the market. It’s honest work, and we know our way around a good zipper. People come back because they know us.
