Our business, Saif Carpets, is based out in Himmatpur, Bakuchia. We use Post Box No. 59 for our mail, but the real work happens right here on the ground. This isn't a high-rise office in a city; it’s a place where we’re close to the actual making of the carpets. We’ve been involved in the carpet trade for a long time, and it’s something we really know inside and out. The air here usually smells like wool and dyes. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We spend our days checking the quality of the weaving and making sure the patterns look right. It’s not always easy, especially when there's a lot of manual work involved, but it’s rewarding to see a finished piece. We aren't a big corporation with a fancy marketing department. We’re just local people doing what we’ve learned over the years. Our office is a bit dusty and filled with samples of different rugs and materials. We don't have much time for polished presentations or corporate jargon. We prefer to let the carpets speak for themselves. If you come by, you’ll see us working alongside everyone else. It’s a practical business built on hard work and knowing the craft. We value the traditions of Bakuchia and try to keep things running smoothly. It’s a quiet life here, but we stay busy enough with the looms and the shipping and talking to the weavers.
