Saboo Silks

Saboo Silks is located at number 117 in Kiriti Plaza, over in Marad Peth. We’ve been handling silk fabrics here for a good number of years. It’s a small space, but we pack it with as much variety as we can find. The lighting in the plaza isn’t always the best, so we often have to take fabrics near the door to show the real color to customers. It’s mostly just us folding and unfolding stacks of material all day long. Marad Peth is a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it, but once you find Kiriti Plaza, we’re easy to spot. We aren't trying to be some high-end boutique with fancy carpets and tea. It’s more of a practical place where you come to find decent silk for a wedding or a special outfit. We get a lot of local tailors coming through who know exactly what they want. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, but that’s just part of being in this area. We take care of our stock and try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It’s hard work keeping up with the different weaves and patterns, but it keeps us busy. People know us for being straightforward. We don't have a big marketing team, just a few of us making sure the shop stays running and the customers get what they need. It is a simple life but it's ours.
