S V Girikumar

My place is at 11 Lalbagh West, on Susheela Road in Chikkamavalli. It’s a quiet enough street most days. We are situated right behind the Kohinoor Book House, which is a good way to find us if you’re lost. Chikkamavalli is a bit tucked away, and it has that older Bangalore feel to it. The building at number 11 has been around for a while. I spend most of my time here handling whatever comes across my desk. It’s a small operation, really just me and occasionally someone helping out. I don’t go in for big office furniture or anything fancy. Just a solid desk and the things I need to work. Lalbagh is close by, so sometimes I take a walk over there when things are slow. The area around Susheela Road is mostly residential, so you see families and people walking to the local shops. It’s not like the big commercial hubs. It’s more personal. People might stop by just to say hello or ask for a bit of advice on something. I’ve lived and worked around here long enough that I know most of the people on the street. It’s not a business that makes a lot of noise. We just stay here, do what needs to be done, and keep things simple. It’s a practical way to live and work in this part of town. I guess I just like the pace of this neighborhood better than others.
