S S Engineering Enterprises is located in Kamagondanahalli, right across from the HMT Estate. It’s a noisy part of town because of all the industrial work going on around us. Our workshop is full of metal scraps, oil, and heavy machinery that’s been running for years. The floor is usually stained with grease, and there’s always the smell of cutting fluid in the air. We spend our days fixing parts or making new ones based on the drawings people bring in. It’s not a clean job, and your hands are usually black by lunchtime. We don't have an air-conditioned office or anything; we just have a small corner with a desk where we keep the invoices. The heat from the machines can get pretty intense in the afternoons. Being near the HMT Estate means there are always people from other workshops stopping by to borrow a tool or ask for help with a specific job. We’ve got a few lathes and drills that have seen better days but still work just fine. We don't bother with fancy signs or advertising. Most people know we’re here because they see the sparks flying or hear the grinders through the open door. It’s just straightforward engineering work, day in and day out. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot and stay until the last job is wrapped up for the evening, then we lock the gates and head out.
