S L N Selections

S L N Selections is right there on the street opposite the Kamath Hotel in Shivaji Nagar. If you’re standing in front of the hotel, just look across and you’ll see our shop. It’s a very old part of town and the building has been there for as long as I can remember. The address is 41426, but the numbers don't always make sense on this road. We have a lot of stuff packed into a small area. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we have to use a ladder quite often. It’s a bit of a workout every day. Shivaji Nagar is always buzzing with people, and there’s a lot of noise from the buses and the vendors outside. We’ve grown used to it over the years. Our shop doesn't have any of those modern fancy fittings. We have old wooden counters and some stools that have seen better days. We do our billing by hand in a ledger, just like they used to do in the old times. It feels more honest that way. We see all kinds of customers, from people looking for a bargain to those who want something very specific that they can't find anywhere else. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the doors and see who comes in. It’s a simple way to run a business. Dealing with the heat in the summer can be tough, but we just keep the door open and keep working. It’s what we know.
