S K Engineers

S K Engineers is located at 489, 6th Main on Beml Road, over in Saraswathi Nagar. We have a small industrial space where we handle mechanical parts and some fabrication work. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there is always the smell of oil in the air. We have a few lathes and some welding equipment that we’ve had for years. It’s loud when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If someone walks in, they usually just find one of us in the back. We take on small projects from local factories and sometimes individual people who need something fixed or made from scratch. Our drawings are mostly done on paper at a messy wooden table. It is hard work and our hands are usually dirty by the end of the day. The roof leaks a little when it rains hard, so we have to move the machines around sometimes. We don't do any big marketing. Most of our work comes from people who know us from the area. We’ve been at this address for a long time. It’s just a bunch of us who know how to work with metal and machines. We stay open late if a job needs to get finished by the morning. The tea shop at the corner is where we spend our ten-minute breaks during the long shifts.
