Rex Cabs

Rex Cabs is based out of Yeshwantpur, over in the Doddanna Industrial Estate. Our specific spot is number 86 on the 16th Cross. It’s pretty easy to find because we are right opposite to the Ganesha Temple. You can usually hear the temple bells from our desk. The industrial estate is a noisy place with trucks and workers everywhere, but that’s just how it is. We spend most of our time coordinating with drivers and taking calls from people who need a ride. It isn't a glamorous job, just a lot of logistics and watching the clock. Sometimes the rain slows everything down and then the phones start ringing even more. We keep our office simple. There are chairs for drivers to sit and have a tea when they are between jobs. Yeshwantpur is a hub for transport so it makes sense for us to be here. We don't do much fancy advertising, mostly people just know we are here by the temple. The 16th Cross can get a bit cramped with parked vehicles, but we make it work. Most days are just a steady stream of figuring out who is going where. It’s a local business and we know the roads around here quite well. We just focus on getting the cars to the right places at the right times without too much fuss.
