If you find yourself in Jayanagar 1st Block, you might see the G.K Archade building. We are up on the third floor, specifically at 125/1-18 on T Mariyappa Road. Renishwa Metrology Systems Pvt Ltd. has been running from this spot for a while. The elevator in the building can be a bit slow some days, so a lot of us just take the stairs to the third floor. It's a good workout. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and a lot of specialized equipment for measuring things. Metrology is one of those things most people don't think about, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. The office gets a lot of afternoon sun through the windows, which is nice in the winter. We have a small kitchen area where we eat lunch and talk about things other than work. It’s not a flashy place. We have some posters on the walls and plenty of binders full of data. Jayanagar is a nice part of town, plenty of places to grab a quick snack nearby if the day gets too long. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it. It's a relaxed environment, though we take the actual measuring work seriously. We’ve been here long enough that we know the regular delivery guys. It’s just a normal workplace with people trying to do their best. Sometimes the printer jams, but we usually fix it ourselves without calling anyone.
