Rannes Saree Shop

Running Rannes Saree Shop keeps us pretty busy most days. We are located right on Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, specifically on the Rajgopal Nagar Main Road at number 8. It’s a lively spot with a lot of people walking past. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and stacks of sarees everywhere you look. We spend a lot of time unfolding fabrics and then trying to fold them back up just right. It gets a bit messy when it’s crowded, but that’s just part of the job. Some people come in knowing exactly what color they want, while others spend an hour looking at everything we have. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a regular shop where we try to keep things organized. The lighting is a bit bright, but it helps people see the embroidery and the thread work clearly. Sometimes the fans are running full blast because it gets quite warm in the afternoons. We have been in this part of town for some time now and most of the neighbors know us by name. It is not a very big place, but it fits everything we need to do. Usually, one of us is sitting near the entrance while the others are helping out near the back racks. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and get ready for whoever walks through the door next. It is a simple way of making a living.
