I’ve been working with V. R. Patil here at PSK Engg Pvt Ltd in Bangalore for quite some time. Engineering is one of those things that sounds fancy but mostly involves looking at messy drawings and making sure parts fit where they are supposed to. Our office in Bangalore isn’t anything special to look at, just a place with some old desks, bulky computers, and a lot of rolled-up blueprints gathering dust in the corners. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or out at job sites, trying to figure out why something isn't working the way it was drawn on paper. It gets loud and dusty, but that is just part of the work. Bangalore traffic makes getting anywhere a massive headache, so we usually start early and stay late to avoid the worst of it. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to make us look shiny. It’s just a few of us trying to keep projects moving forward. Sometimes the weather gets in the way, or a supplier sends the wrong stuff, and we just have to deal with it. It’s a lot of practical problem-solving every day. We’ve been in this business long enough to know that things rarely go exactly to plan, so we just stay flexible. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and those breaks are probably the most organized part of our afternoon. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing.
