Project Engineer

I am based out of my place, Jijeshbhavan, which is right in Eachur. Being a Project Engineer here in the Kannur district means a lot of travel between different sites. The roads can be a bit rough during the monsoon months, but we are used to that. My office is basically a room at the house where I keep all the files and my laptop. It is quiet for the most part, except when the local buses go by on the main road. I have been doing this for some time now, just handling the day-to-day engineering tasks that come my way. There is no big team here, just me and a couple of guys I call when a job gets too big for one person. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing department. People usually just find out about us through word of mouth in the village or from someone in the next town over. It is a simple setup. Most mornings start with a cup of coffee while I look over the plans for the day. Then it is out to the site to see how the work is progressing. I like being out there more than sitting at the desk. Eachur is a good place to live and work, even if it feels a bit slow compared to the bigger cities. We just take things one day at a time and focus on the current task until the project is finished and done.
