Project Engineer In Charge

Being the Project Engineer In Charge over here in Balajinagar is mostly about keeping track of a hundred small things at once. I’ve got my setup at Amma 246 on 8th A Cross in BSK III Stage. Bangalore has changed so much since I started, and BSK is now this huge, bustling place where you can barely find parking some days. My house and office are sort of the same thing, which makes the morning commute pretty easy at least. I spend a lot of time on the phone or out at different sites, but this is the home base where the real planning happens. Sri K. Jagannath Naidu is my father, and I’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time. People around here know me as the guy who’s always carrying a roll of drawings or a laptop bag. It isn’t some shiny corporate headquarters with a glass front. It’s just a regular building where the work gets done properly. I don’t really care for big marketing talk or trying to look bigger than I am. I just manage the projects I’m given and try to make sure nothing goes sideways with the contractors or the materials. Managing people is probably the hardest part of being in charge, but after a few years, you get used to the noise and the constant questions from everyone on the job site. It is just life in the city, really.
