Our place is spread across a few survey numbers—34, 35, 37, and 38—down in Agara Village. It’s in the South Taluka area. Being out in the village means we have a bit more space for the minerals we handle. We’ve got a Khata number 35 for the property. It’s a lot of land to keep track of. Most days are spent out on the site. It’s dusty and noisy, but that’s the nature of the mineral business. We started Pearl Mineral because the land here had what we needed. We aren't corporate types in suits. We wear boots and spend most of our time on our feet. The road out to Agara can be a bit bumpy depending on the season and the rain. We have a small office where we handle the legal stuff and the permits. It’s a lot of work making sure everything is in order with the government. We work with a lot of local laborers from the surrounding Hobli. It feels good to provide jobs around here. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves. We don't have a PR person or anything like that. We just focus on the mining and processing. It’s a hard life but it’s ours. If you’re looking for us, you’ll have to drive out past the main town and look for the markers. It's quiet out here except for the equipment. We just keep moving forward with the work.
