Payal Collections

Payal Collections is located at 13-1, right near the Nilgiris on 7th Cross. This part of Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, or RT Nagar as most people call it, stays pretty active throughout the week. We’re on 14th Main, which is a convenient spot if you’re already out doing your grocery shopping or running errands near that landmark. The shop isn't huge, but we make use of every bit of space we have. Most days start with us unlocking the shutters and checking the inventory to see what needs replacing. We’ve been in this neighborhood long enough to see the seasons change and the shops around us turn over. It’s a local kind of place where you hear the sounds of the street all day long. We don't spend much on big decorations or fancy lights. Instead, we just focus on keeping the shelves stocked and the floors swept. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just prop the door open for some light and keep going. Dealing with deliveries can be a bit of a headache with the narrow streets nearby, but we manage. People walking by often peek in to see what's new. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in RT Nagar, just one that is there when you need something. It’s a lot of standing and moving things around, but we like the pace of the day.
