Our place is at 83 Rajajinagar 1st N Block and it is very close to the bus stand which means there is always a lot of movement nearby. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. We deal with moortis and it is a job that involves a lot of dust and heavy lifting. The statues are lined up and sometimes they take up more space than we actually have. It is an old part of the neighborhood and things don't change much around here. We spend our mornings cleaning the stone and making sure everything looks right for whoever might stop by. People coming from the bus stand often wander in just to look around while they wait for their ride. It is not a shiny showroom with big glass windows. It is more of a workshop where things actually happen. The floor is usually covered in some kind of material from the work we do. We have been at this Rajajinagar spot for quite some time now. Some days are very slow and we just sit outside on a stool watching the traffic go by. Other days everyone seems to want something at the same time. We don't mind either way because the work stays the same. It is just about being here and making sure the shop is open when it needs to be. We just do what we know and keep the tools ready.
