About Pallekere Coffee Estate – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
We operate out of an apartment building in Benson Town, specifically on Benson Cross Road. It might seem a bit odd to have a coffee estate office in Amelie Apartments, but it works for us. The actual growing happens elsewhere, but this is where we handle all the talking and the paperwork. Most days, the place smells like roasted beans because we keep samples around to check the quality. It’s a quiet street compared to the rest of the city. We spend our time talking to the workers at the estate and then figuring out who needs the next batch of coffee. It’s a bit of a back-and-forth process. Sometimes the weather at the estate makes things difficult, and we have to explain why the harvest is a bit late. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a couple of rooms with some old chairs and a lot of coffee sacks leaning against the walls. We take our time with things. You can't rush coffee, and we don't try to. If someone wants to know about the beans, we just tell them what we know. There's no script or sales talk here. We are just people who grew up around coffee and decided to keep doing it. It’s a steady kind of work, and we enjoy the quiet rhythm of the office on most afternoons. We usually have a fresh pot brewing if you stop by.
