Property Connect

People often get confused finding No. 4921 because it is way up on the 10th floor of the High Point 4 building on Palace Road. You have to wait for the elevator which can be quite slow during the lunch hour when everyone is moving. Once you get up here, the view of the street below is actually okay. We spend most of the day at Property Connect answering the phone and looking at property listings on our computer screens. The office is a bit small for how many desks we have squeezed in there, and there is always a stack of folders that needs sorting. It gets pretty bright in the afternoons when the sun hits the big windows. We deal with a lot of folks coming in to talk about apartments or land they want to sell. Some people just wander in by mistake looking for the lawyer’s office next door. It is a busy building with a lot of noise coming from the hallway. We keep a small kettle in the corner for making tea because the canteen downstairs is too far away. Palace Road is always jammed with cars and buses, so we hear the honking all day long. It is just a regular office life for us, trying to keep track of who is buying what and where the keys are. We do not have any fancy posters, just a big map of the city on the wall.
