You’ll find us at No. 28/ 2 on Sardar Patrappa Road. It’s a narrow building but it serves us well enough for what we do. The stairs are a bit steep and they creak every time someone walks up. Inside, it’s mostly desks and stacks of folders that seem to grow every week. We try to keep things organized, but when it gets busy, papers end up everywhere. The windows look out onto the street, and we spend a lot of time watching the carts and bikes go by. It’s a noisy part of town, which keeps us awake at least. We don’t have a receptionist or any of that, so whoever is closest to the door usually says hello. There is a small pantry in the back where we make coffee. It’s nothing special, but it’s the most popular spot in the office. We spend our hours talking on the phone or typing away at the computers. Sometimes the internet acts up and we all have to wait for it to come back. We don't have a big corporate culture or anything. We just know each other’s names and how we like our tea. Most days are pretty standard, filled with the usual tasks and small talk about the weather or the traffic. It’s a practical place for practical people. We just get through the pile on our desks and go home to our families. It is just another office on a busy city street.
