Oval Bar

Malleshwaram 2nd Main is where you’ll find us, specifically in the 2nd Stage area. Oval Bar has been sitting here for quite some time. It isn't one of those new, loud places that people seem to like nowadays. We keep things pretty simple. The lights are a bit dim and the chairs have seen better days, but they are comfortable enough for a long sit. Mostly it’s just the regulars who come in after work. They know where they like to sit and we usually know what they want before they even ask. It’s quiet in the afternoons, just the sound of the fridge humming and maybe someone sweeping the floor. Then around six, it starts to pick up. We don't have a big menu or anything complicated. Just the usual stuff people look for when they want to relax. The 2nd Stage neighborhood is mostly houses, so we try to keep the noise down so the neighbors don't get annoyed. Sometimes the TV is on with the cricket or news, but mostly it's just people talking. We’ve had the same staff for a few years, so we all know how the place runs. It’s not a perfect setup, maybe the paint needs a touch-up here and there, but it feels like home to us. It’s just a bar in Malleshwaram where you can sit and not be bothered much. I think the clock on the wall has been slow for five years.
