Organic Options

Our little shop, Organic Options, is tucked away on 3rd Main, 12th Cross in Sadashivanagar. We’re right near the Shenoy Nagar Swimming Pool area. It’s a quiet street for the most part, except when the kids are heading to the pool. We opened up because we wanted a place where you could get stuff that wasn't processed to death. We keep things like grains, pulses, and some oils in stock. It’s not a huge supermarket. It’s more of a place where you know the person behind the counter. I spend a lot of time talking to the farmers who bring us the bags of rice and flour. Some days the delivery is late because the truck broke down, and we just have to wait. That's life. We try to keep the shelves tidy, but it's hard when you have heavy sacks of dal arriving every other day. People in the neighborhood stop by on their evening walks. They might just want a small packet of spice or some jaggery. We don't do much advertising. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. It’s a simple setup. We have wooden shelves and some old fans to keep the place cool. It’s nice being part of the Sadashivanagar community. We see the same faces every week, and that makes the work feel a bit more personal. Sometimes we run out of stock when the harvest is late, but our customers usually understand.
