Om Sakthi Coffee Tea

Jayanagar 5th Block is a nice place to be. We are at 154, right on the 7th Cross and 4th Main Road. If you walk by in the morning, you can smell the coffee and tea brewing from a distance. It is a smell we have lived with for a long time. Om Sakthi is a small spot. We don’t have a lot of room for people to sit down, so most folks just stand around and talk while they drink their cup. It gets very crowded around eight or nine in the morning with people going to work. We spend a lot of time boiling water and mixing the tea. Our counters are a bit worn down from all the cups being slid across them over the years. We know most of our regulars by name, and we know exactly how they like their drink, whether they want extra sugar or no milk. It is a busy life. We are always cleaning up spills or putting out more supplies from the back. Jayanagar is a quiet neighborhood mostly, but our corner stays active. We have been here through many rainy seasons and hot summers. The shop is small, so we have to keep everything very organized to make it work. We don't use any big fancy machines, just the usual stoves and pots. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn until we close up the shutters at night.
