About New Dil Khush Tea House – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
Our tea house is right there on Shivaji Nagar 1st Cross, tucked away on New Bank Road 36. It’s a busy corner, and there’s always noise from the street coming in. We keep the kettle going almost all day because someone is always looking for a hot cup of tea. It’s not a place where you sit for hours and talk. People mostly come in, stand at the narrow tables, drink their tea, and head back out to their shops or jobs. We get a lot of workers from the nearby market. The glasses are always getting washed and refilled. There’s a specific smell of ginger and boiled milk that stays in the air even after we close up at night. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to do it yet. We serve some snacks too, mostly things that go well with tea. Sometimes the biscuits get a bit soft if it’s raining outside, but people still buy them. My father started this place, and not much has changed since then. We use the same kind of tea leaves we’ve always used. It’s a simple routine. We open early, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer. By mid-morning, it’s a bit of a squeeze inside, but everyone finds a spot. It’s just a normal tea shop for people who are in a hurry. We don't try to be anything else besides a place for a quick break.
