New Assam Tea Agency

We are based at 85/6 in Shivaji Nagar, right on the New Link Road. Our shop is in the Lal Masjid building, which is a very well-known landmark around here. We deal with tea in a bigger way than just serving it by the cup. We have sacks of tea leaves from Assam stacked up inside the office. The smell is very strong when you first walk in, but you get used to it after a few minutes. Shivaji Nagar is always a very busy place, and being on the New Link Road means there is a lot of noise from the cars and motorcycles. We spend our days weighing out tea and packing it for different customers. It is a lot of manual work and our hands usually end up smelling like tea by the end of the shift. The building itself is quite old and has a lot of history to it. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just some scales and the tea bags. Sometimes people stop by just because they saw the sign while going to the Masjid. We have a small desk where we handle all the accounts and the paperwork. It is a straightforward business and we have been doing it this way for years. We don't worry about being modern or having a sleek look. We just focus on the tea and getting it out to the people who want it. That is how we spend our time here.
