Neptune Travels

We are based at 49 Basavanagudi, in the Thakkarbapa Area. Our office is in the Neptuni Galaxy building, inside Padadi Chambers. Basavanagudi is a lovely old part of Bangalore, but it is always crowded with people shopping or going to the temples. Neptune Travels has been here for a long time. The office is filled with old maps and stacks of bus and train schedules that we keep for reference. We don't have those big glowing screens you see in the new malls. It is just a few of us sitting at desks with our phones constantly ringing. People drop in to ask about the best way to get to the coast or how much a ticket to the north will cost. Sometimes we spend hours trying to fix a booking that got messed up. It is a lot of talking and explaining things over and over. The building itself is a bit maze-like, and sometimes people get lost looking for Padadi Chambers. We have a small fan that wobbles on the desk and a lot of pens that always seem to run out of ink when you need them. It is not a high-tech operation, but we know the routes and the operators better than most. We just try to get people where they need to go without too much trouble for them. It is a busy life but we enjoy the talk.
