Navya Cabs

Our office for Navya Cabs is at number 15 in Seshadripuram. We are right there on the 15th Cross of Sampige Road. If you know this part of the city, you know that Sampige Road is always full of people and shops. Our day usually starts very early, sometimes even before the sun is fully up, because the drivers start calling in. We have a small desk with a couple of phones that never seem to stop ringing. It’s a lot of coordinating where the cars are and who needs a ride to the airport or the station. The walls are covered with old maps and a few calendars to keep track of the dates. It can get pretty stressful when there’s a big traffic jam and everyone is running late. We try to keep a cool head and just talk the drivers through it. There’s always a smell of tea in the air because we have a small stall just around the corner that brings us cups throughout the day. People sometimes walk in off the street to ask for directions or to book a cab for the next morning. We don’t have any fancy software to manage things; it’s mostly just notebooks and pens and a lot of memory. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes and we get to talk to a lot of different people every single day. We just keep the cars moving.
