We are located at 12 Anekallapa Lane over in Narayana Setty Pet. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze getting down the lane sometimes, especially when the delivery trucks are trying to get through the narrow turns. We’ve been here in this building for quite a while now. The space is mostly filled up with rolls of silk and different fabrics we handle every day. It’s not a very fancy place, just a regular work spot with old wooden shelves and a few desks that have seen better days. There is a lot of dust that comes in from the street when the wind blows, so we spend a good amount of time just trying to keep the silk clean and covered up with plastic sheets. My brother and I usually start the day early with some tea and then we get to checking the orders that came in overnight. Sometimes the colors of the silk don't look the same under the indoor lights as they do in the sun, so we have to take the rolls out to the doorway to see them properly. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses, so there’s always someone popping in to borrow a tool or just to chat for a minute about the weather. When it rains, the roof makes a lot of noise and we have to move some of the stock away from the walls. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We don't have any big signs out front.
