Fortune Silks

Fortune Silks is located at No. 232 in the 12th Block of Nagarbhavi 2nd Stage. Our shop is tucked away in a part of the neighborhood that’s mostly houses, so it’s not as chaotic as the center of the city. We’ve been here for quite some time now. We deal in silk fabrics, which means our shelves are always stacked with colorful rolls of cloth. It’s a nice thing to look at every morning when we open the shutters. We don't have a big team or a lot of staff. It’s just a few of us who know a bit about silk and how to help people find what they need. We don't use a lot of fancy sales talk. If a fabric is good, it shows. We spend a lot of time measuring out lengths of cloth and folding them back up neatly. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded when a few families come in at once, but we just take our time with each person. We aren't interested in being a big chain or anything like that. We like being a local Nagarbhavi shop where people can come in and feel comfortable. The neighborhood has changed a lot, with new houses and roads being built all around us, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. It’s a quiet, steady kind of business. We just try to keep good stock and treat everyone who comes in with a bit of honesty. That is all we do.
