We are located right on Mysore Road, which is always busy with traffic and people moving about. This is where we manufacture bags of all kinds. It’s a big, open space that gets pretty hot during the middle of the day. We have various stations set up for cutting material, stitching, and then adding things like handles and zippers. You can hear the rhythmic clicking of the machines from the moment we start in the morning. We don’t have a fancy front office; we mostly just have the workshop where all the action happens. There are stacks of raw materials piled up in one corner and finished bags in another. It’s a bit disorganized at times, especially when a new shipment of fabric arrives and we have to find space for it. We move around a lot, checking on the progress of different batches. The smell of new plastic and heavy canvas is everywhere. We keep the doors open to let some air in, which means we get a bit of noise from Mysore Road too. People who need bags in bulk usually find their way to us. It’s just a group of us working hard to turn rolls of fabric into something people can use to carry their belongings. We don’t do much advertising; we just stay busy with the orders that come in. It’s a simple way to run things.
