Our office is located on the 5th floor of the TTMC A Block, which is part of the BMTC Building on KH Road in Shantinagar. It’s a very busy hub because of all the buses coming and going downstairs. You can always hear the announcements and the engines rumbling from the street level. We have been here for a long time, and the office feels like it has a lot of history. There are stacks of folders and maps and samples of different minerals spread out on some of the older wooden tables. It isn't a flashy place with high-tech gadgets, just a solid, old-fashioned workspace. Most of us have been working on the 5th floor for years, so we know all the quirks of the building, like which window doesn't close right or where the floorboards creak. Shantinagar is a central part of the city, so it’s easy for people to reach us, even if the traffic on KH Road is a bit of a mess most afternoons. We don't have any marketing people telling us what to say, so we just tell it like it is. We spend our time looking at data and managing the resources we are responsible for. It’s a lot of steady work and quiet focus. Sometimes we take a break and look out at the bus terminal below to see the city moving. It’s just our daily life here at the TTMC block.
