About My Tea House – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
Our tea house is over on Silver Jubilee Park Road in Banashankari. We’re at number 293, which isn't hard to find if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a hot drink. It’s a small place where we boil tea all day long in big pots. We use a lot of milk and ginger, and the steam is always coming off the stove. We have some basic wooden benches for people to sit on while they drink. It's not a place for a fancy meal, just a quick cup of tea and maybe a biscuit if we have them in stock. In the mornings, we get people who are going for a walk in the park or heading to work. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed most of the time. We don't play music or have TVs; it's just the sound of the stove and people chatting. The walls are a bit plain and maybe they could use some fresh paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We focus more on making sure the tea is hot and tastes right for everyone. Some people stay for five minutes, others stay for an hour or more. We don't mind either way. It’s just a local tea shop where the neighbors can meet up and talk. We've been here long enough that we know how most of our regulars like their tea. Nothing special, just a regular part of the street. We stay open from early morning until the sun goes down.
