About Fashion Square Exports – Fashion & Trends in Bengaluru
Our work happens in Ms Palya. Fashion Square Exports is where we handle all the fabric and the shipping boxes. It isn't a fancy store or anything like that. It’s more of a warehouse feel where things are constantly being moved from one side to the other. We have some heavy tables for cutting and measuring, and a few sewing machines that hum all day long. Ms Palya is a bit out of the way, but it works for us because we need the space. The floor is concrete and can get pretty cold in the mornings. We usually wear sweaters until the sun gets higher. Most of the day is spent checking the items before they go into the crates. We have to be careful with the labels so nothing gets sent to the wrong place. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and carrying stuff. We aren't trying to be a fancy business. We just focus on getting the exports ready on time. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used thing in the building. We don't have a lot of meetings; we just talk while we work. If someone has a problem, we just figure it out right there on the floor. It’s a straightforward environment without any of that corporate drama you hear about in bigger cities. We just do our job and go home. Usually, we walk to the main road together after the shift ends.
