Monique Beverages

Down here in Peenya 1st Stage, specifically at A-195A on the 4th Cross, things stay pretty noisy. That’s just how it is in an industrial area. Monique Beverages has been operating out of this unit for some time. We deal with drinks and bottling, so there’s always the sound of machinery and crates being moved around. It gets pretty dusty out on the street with all the trucks passing by, but inside we keep things moving as best as we can. It’s not a large factory, just a decent-sized space where we get the work done. The team here is small. We mostly just focus on the production line and making sure the orders are ready for the morning pickups. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is a pain, but we’ve got used to the quirks of the building. Being in Peenya means we’re surrounded by other workshops and plants, so there's always someone nearby if we need a tool or a bit of help with a repair. We don’t spend much time on fancy stuff; most of our energy goes into the actual product and getting it out the door. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is humid, but we’ve got a routine that works for us. We’re just a local beverage outfit trying to stay steady in a busy part of town. It isn't anything fancy, but it is what we do every day without fail. The tea guy comes by at four and that’s our main break.
