Mateshwari Pesticides

Mateshwari Pesticides is located in Nayandahalli, building number 22. We’ve been operating from this spot for several years now. It’s a simple shop where we sell different types of treatments for gardens and small farms. We have a lot of stuff for getting rid of bugs and keeping plants healthy. The shop has a very specific smell because of all the products we keep in stock, but you get used to it after a few minutes. We aren't experts with fancy degrees, but we've learned a lot about what works for the local soil and the common pests in this part of town. People often come in with a leaf from a plant that isn't doing well, and we try to figure out what’s wrong with it. It’s a small space, mostly just shelves reaching up to the ceiling and a small desk where we keep the accounts. We get our supplies from the main distributors and try to keep enough in stock so people don't have to go all the way into the city center. The neighborhood has a lot of small plots and some older houses with big gardens, so we stay pretty busy during the growing season. We close up for an hour in the afternoon for lunch. If the door is locked, just wait a bit and we’ll be back. It’s a straightforward business and we just take it day by day.
