Maruthi Cooling Systems Pvt. Ltd. is based at 68/69, 4th Cross, in the Industrial Lane of Kamakshipalya. This is a gritty part of the city where a lot of small industries are packed together. Our building is a simple place with two floors. The ground floor is where we do the actual work on the cooling units and the upstairs is where we keep the books and have a few desks. Kamakshipalya is always noisy with the sounds of fabrication and heavy vehicles. We have been here long enough that we know everyone on the 4th Cross. The lane is quite narrow, so it is a bit of a challenge when the big trucks come in to load up the equipment. Our team is small and mostly made up of guys who live nearby. We do not have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we do a decent job and people keep coming back. The workshop is usually cluttered with copper tubes and tools, but we have our own system for finding things. We usually take our tea breaks sitting on the front steps when we can. It is hard and often sweaty work, especially during the summer, but we just take things one day at a time. We do not try to be something we are not. We just fix cooling systems.
