Maruthi Candle

Maruthi Candle is located in the Peenya area, near Dhayari Phata and not too far from the Government High School. Peenya is mostly known for big factories and heavy machinery, but our work is a bit different. We spend our days dealing with wax, wicks, and different types of molds. The building where we work usually has a faint smell of melting wax hanging in the air. We make all sorts of candles, from the basic white ones people use when the power goes out to some more decorative ones. It’s a hands-on process that requires a bit of patience, especially when waiting for things to cool down and set properly. We often see the school kids walking past our place in the mornings and afternoons. It’s a nice little corner of Peenya to be in. We aren't a massive factory; it’s a more modest setup where we can keep an eye on everything ourselves. Sometimes we have big orders for festivals or local shops, and those days are really busy and a bit frantic. Other times, it’s just a steady pace of pouring and packing. We’ve been here for some time now and the locals know where to find us if they need a bulk order. It’s simple work, but there is something satisfying about seeing the finished candles all lined up and ready to be boxed.
