Mano Cafe

Over in Yelahanka New Town, specifically in the Preet Nagar area at number 471, you’ll find Mano Cafe. It’s a simple spot, really. We didn’t spend a lot of money on decorations or fancy furniture; we just put out some chairs and tables that seemed sturdy enough. The neighborhood is mostly families and people going about their daily business, so we see a lot of the same faces every morning. We open up early to catch the people heading off to work. The coffee machine has a bit of a loud hiss, but it’s been working fine for years now. We spend a lot of time sweeping the floor because the dust from the road always finds its way inside. The menu is written on a chalkboard that we smudge sometimes when we’re updating it. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find anything too complicated. We just serve what we know how to make. Sometimes the afternoon gets slow and we just sit by the window watching the birds or the traffic. It’s a quiet life, and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most famous place in town. We just want to be the spot where you can get a decent drink and sit for a while without anyone bothering you. It's a nice place to spend the day.
