Manasa Cafe Day

If you're driving down Mysore Road, you might see Manasa Cafe Day near Hotel Indraprastha at number 81. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there are always cars and buses zooming past our front door. We mostly see people who are on their way somewhere else, stopping in for a quick break from the drive. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a place to sit for a minute and get something to drink. We keep things pretty casual here. I usually start the day by cleaning the counters and getting everything set up before the first commuters show up. It can get pretty dusty because of the road work and the constant traffic, so we're always wiping things down. We don't have a huge menu or anything like that. We just stick to what we know how to make and what people usually ask for. Sometimes it’s quiet in the mid-afternoon when the sun is really hot, and we just sit back and watch the vehicles go by for a while. Then it picks up again in the evening as people head back home. The staff is just a few local guys who live nearby. We don't really have a boss breathing down our necks all the time, we just know what needs to be done. It’s a decent place to work if you don't mind the noise from the highway.
