Kaanchico Srinidhi Silks

We are tucked away in the basement of the Soundarya Sampige building on 2nd Main Road. Malleswaram is a beautiful part of town, especially with the trees on Sampige Road. Our shop is at No. 4, right near the 8th Cross Circle. You have to walk down a few steps to get to us. Once you are inside, it’s a bit quieter than the street above. We have been dealing with silks for quite some time now. The basement stays a bit cooler, which is nice during the summer months. We have rows of sarees and fabric rolls along the walls. The lighting has to be just right so people can see the true colors of the silk. It’s a lot of unfolding and showing the fabric, then carefully folding it back up again so it doesn't wrinkle. We don't have any big corporate slogans. We just show the silk and let people feel the texture for themselves. The 8th Cross area is famous for shopping, so we get people who have been coming to this neighborhood for generations. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the small space, especially on weekends. We just take it one customer at a time and handle the billing. The smell of sandalwood and incense from the nearby shops often drifts down into the basement. It’s a comfortable place to work. We just keep doing what we know, right here under the main road.
