Mahalakshmi Fancy Stores

I started this shop on the 4th A Main in Rpc Layout quite a few years back now. It is right there near the Chellekere Ring Road, so we get people stopping by on their way home to Vijaya Nagar. It is not a huge place, just a regular fancy store where we keep all the small things people need. Most days I am behind the counter from morning until late at night. We have rows of bangles in every color you can think of, and I try to keep the latest designs because the ladies around here are very particular. Then there are the hair clips, bindis, and all the little gift items for kids' birthday parties. Sometimes the shelves get a bit messy because kids come in and touch everything, but that is how a shop like this goes. It is a bit of a squeeze when we get a new shipment in and boxes are stacked on the floor. I usually have to move things around for an hour just to find a place for the new plastic items or the stationery sets. My family helps out when it gets busy during the festival season. The road outside can get very noisy with all the traffic from the Ring Road, but we are used to it by now. It is just a simple business, nothing fancy despite the name, just us trying to keep the neighborhood supplied with their daily bits and pieces.
