M S T Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at number 26 in the J C Industrial estate, right in the Madhuban Society area. If you know where Island Ceramics is, we’re just next to them. It’s a bit of a maze getting through the estate sometimes, especially when the big trucks are trying to turn around in the narrow lanes. We’ve been operating M S T Engineering Works from this spot for a good while. The air usually smells a bit like oil and hot metal, which is pretty standard for an engineering place. We have a few old machines that have been with us since the start, and they still run better than some of the newer stuff. It’s not a quiet job. There’s always the thud of a press or the whine of a lathe in the background. We don’t have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. Usually, if you come by, you’ll find us bent over a workbench or moving some heavy parts around the floor. It’s a practical environment where the focus is on the actual work being done. We appreciate the other businesses in the estate; everyone kind of looks out for each other when things get busy. When the rain comes down hard on the tin roof, you can barely hear yourself think, but we just keep at it. It’s a decent way to make a living, and we’re glad to be here doing what we do every day.
