Running M S Fertilizers & Pesticides out on Varthur Balagere Road keeps us pretty busy all year round. It’s a dusty stretch of road, especially when the big trucks go by, but it’s where all the farmers and gardeners pass through. The shop is usually full of heavy bags and plastic containers. It has that specific smell of earth and chemicals that you get used to after a week of working here. We spend a lot of time just moving stock around and helping people load things into their vehicles. Sometimes the traffic on Balagere Road is a real headache, making it hard for our deliveries to arrive on time, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the state or anything, we just stay here and provide what the locals need for their crops and plants. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years, so we know their names and what they usually buy for their land. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually sit near the front to catch whatever breeze comes off the road. We don't have a website or fancy brochures. If someone needs to find M S Fertilizers & Pesticides, they just drive down Varthur way and look for us. It’s a straightforward life, just dealing with the seasons and the people who grow things. We just keep the door open and wait for the next customer.
