M R I Engineering Works is found at 11 Adugodi Devaraj Compound. It’s a gritty, industrial part of town, which suits us just fine because we do a lot of heavy work. We are basically a machine shop where we handle various engineering tasks like turning, milling, and general metal fabrication. The floor is usually covered in metal curls and there’s always a smell of machine oil in the air. We have some old-school lathes and drill presses that have been running for years. Most of our work comes from other businesses in the compound or nearby who need a specific part fixed or a custom component made. We don't have a big office or a sales team to talk to customers. You just come in, show us what needs doing, and we tell you if we can handle it. It’s honest, manual work that requires a lot of focus and a steady hand. Sometimes we have to spend hours getting a measurement exactly right on a piece of steel. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean, our clothes are always stained with grease. We don't make a big deal about what we do, we just provide a service for people who need mechanical things fixed or made. It’s a small operation, but we’ve been at it in Devaraj Compound for quite a long time now and we know our machines well.
