Our place is at 77/A Saki Vihar Road in New Guddadahalli. M D Mohsin Fine Art isn't a gallery where you walk around in silence with your hands behind your back. It is more of a workshop where things are actually being made. There is usually some paint on the floor and the smell of turpentine or wood stain is always hanging in the air. We have brushes soaking in jars and half-finished projects leaned up against the walls. The Saki Vihar Road traffic is pretty constant so there is always a low rumble of trucks outside our door. We started here because the space was big enough for the work we do. It’s not particularly clean because of the dust from the sanding and the shavings from the frames. We have a small kettle in the corner for making coffee when the weather gets rainy and the shop gets a bit damp. Most people who come here are looking for something specific or they are neighbors who have known us for years. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, you’ll probably find someone with their sleeves rolled up busy working on a canvas or a frame. The lighting isn't the best but we have a couple of bright bulbs right over the workbenches so we can see what we are doing when the sun goes down.
