Lakshmi Minarals

Out here at Plot No. 30 on 7th C Main Road, things stay pretty busy. We are right in the middle of Muthyalammanagara, and if you know Bandappa Garden, then you know exactly where Lakshmi Minarals sits. It’s a dusty business, dealing with minerals and materials all day. We have a lot of stuff piled up in the yard, and it can look a bit messy to someone just passing by. But we know where everything is. The trucks come in early, usually while the mist is still on the ground. We have a small office space where we keep the ledger and handle the customers. It’s nothing fancy, just a few desks and a fan that squeaks a little when it’s on the high setting. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to drivers. The neighborhood around us is a mix of houses and small shops, so we try to keep the noise down when we can. Sometimes the rain makes the ground muddy and we have to work around that, which can be a real headache. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just want to make sure the loads are right and the deliveries happen on time. It’s honest work, and it keeps us on our feet from morning until the sun goes down. Most of us have been here for years now.
